It’s a long list this week too. One reason to that is probably the last Bandcamp Friday of the year we had yesterday. It was a very long list of releases to go through to find the interesting ones, so it’s a 50+ list once again.
This is a new part in the newsletter I call notable releases. It's releases I've already listened to or releases I look forward to hear, with my stupid comments about them included. I started with this last week and will try to have this section in every edition from now on. But I'm not going to promise anything.

KING BUFFALO – Acheron
This band. What kind of music wizards are they? Definitely one of the best heavy rock bands around right now. It’s always such a pleasant and captivating experience to listen to their music. Perfect amount of spacey psych, slick heavy riffing and repetitive kraut rhythms together with the chant like vocals that puts you in a hypnotized state.

SO HIDEOUS – None But A Pure Heart Can Sing
How this band incorporates symphonic elements into their blackened post metal is incredible. It really takes the music to another level with the epic, grandiose soundscapes. Seriously heavy and utterly beautiful at the same time.

SOMNOLENT – The Infernal Expanse
Are you a fan of sinister soundscapes? Do you like blood freezing atmospheres? Is aural industrial horror your thing? Then do not skip this one.

VÍZ – Veils
Experimental ambient that creates an eerie atmosphere. Very intriguing.

WEEDPECKER – IV: The Stream Of Forgotten Thoughts
I’m not really an expert on this band, but this has to be their best album yet. The way they blend insanely trippy psych groove, mezmerising heavy prog riffing and an shoegazing dream pop-esque atmosphere is brilliant.
